Supply Chain Specialist

A global trading & industrial materials distribution company is actively seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Supply Chain Specialist to join their team in the Greenwood, IN area. The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for optimizing and coordinating all aspects of supply chain and logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts and materials to support customer production lines. This role plays a vital part in enhancing supply chain efficiency and maintaining service excellence. **This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefit package. Responsibilities of this Supply Chain Specialist role: Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines. Manage warehousing and distribution operations, ensuring inventory accuracy and stock level optimization. Communicate daily with customers, suppliers, and carriers to track shipments and resolve any delays or issues. Monitor inventory levels and initiate restocking processes as needed to avoid production interruptions. Utilize ERP or supply chain systems to maintain accurate records, shipping documents, and delivery tracking. Support alignment of inventory levels with customer production forecasts Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Procurement, and Production to align logistics with business needs. Skills and qualifications of this Supply Chain Specialist role: Associate's or higher degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, International Business, or related field 1+ years work experience in the Manufacturing industry 1+ years work experience in Supply Chain Management Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Confidence in working with numbers, including data entry, calculations, and numerical analysis Organized, multi-tasks, and goal-oriented Ability to work a fast-paced, multicultural work environment NOTE: Activ8 and its clients will NOT charge any fees or costs to applicants at any point during the application or hiring process. is an equal opportunity employer #J-18808-Ljbffr
