Marketing and Communications CoordinatorThis role plays an integral part in Division of Student Affairs department services. It works in collaboration with the rest of our team to implement marketing strategies, create and post content on the Student Affairs social media channels, create newsletters, and manage other aspects of our marketing efforts. The role is pivotal in building strong partnerships with department clients, ensuring that marketing requests are implemented effectively and that students are meaningfully connected to events, programs, services, and campus resources.The Division of Student Affairs strives to provide students with experience, learning, and growth opportunities at Pitt. In the areas of student experience, student engagement, student health and wellness, and student career and leadership development--we complement Pitt's academic excellence.Core Skills:Copywriting/editing across formats (social, email, print, web, signage) with brand/style consistencyGraphic design proficiency (Adobe Creative Suite or Canva)Social media management (Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok) — content creation, scheduling, live event coverage, community engagementEmail marketing/newsletter platforms (Mailchimp or similar)Digital signage and event calendar systemsAnalytics tools (native platform insights, Google Analytics) to measure and adjust strategyStrong project management and attention to detail for juggling recurring deliverablesPreferred:Bachelor's in Marketing/Communications/Journalism or related fieldHigher ed or student affairs marketing experiencePlease attach writing sample and media sample to the application.
