What You'll Do

• Provide expert nursing care for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients
• Circulate during C-sections, assist with triage in OB ED
• Administer medications including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, Cytotec, and Balloon Inductions
• Support postpartum hemorrhage management including blood administration and Jada device use
• Collaborate with charge nurses, support staff, and physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems like Meditech Expanse and GE Centricity Perinatal
• Ensure patient safety and comfort in a family-like unit environment

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible by reciprocity
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, NRP, FHM certifications

• Experience managing laboring and postpartum patients
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to support a family-centered care environment

About the Assignment Join a high-level Level 3 NICU with a birth-ready designation at a facility dedicated to compassionate maternal care. The unit cares for antepartum, laboring, and postpartum patients with a patient ratio of 1:2 for laboring patients and 1:1 during active labor. Support staff include in-house RTs, phlebotomy, and a hospitalist available after hours. Your role will include assisting with triage, postpartum monitoring, and supporting various obstetric procedures, contributing to positive outcomes in a busy, family-oriented environment.
