Procurement Support Role

Location: Orlando, FL | Part-Time | Pay Range: $16.50 - $19.88/HR (Based on experience and qualifications)

What You'll Do

Support Purchasing Operations

• Create purchase orders from approved requests, ensuring item details, pricing, and delivery information are entered accurately.
• Maintain accurate purchasing information that supports efficient order processing and tracking.

Coordinate Supplier Information

• Request supplier quotes and gather information on availability and lead times.
• Prepare pricing comparisons and supporting documentation for procurement review.
• Communicate professionally with suppliers regarding order status, documentation, and routine inquiries.

Keep Procurement Activities Organized

• Monitor procurement email communications, tracking responses, follow-up actions, confirmations, and open questions.
• Maintain organized records of supplier quotes, approvals, purchase orders, acknowledgments, shipment information, and related documentation.

Track Orders and Follow Through

• Assist with monitoring open orders, backorders, shipments, receipts, returns, replacements, and credits.
• Help ensure procurement activities stay current through consistent follow-up and status tracking.

Provide Administrative Support

• Perform data entry, filing, document management, and other procurement-related support activities.
• Identify incomplete or unclear information and escalate questions or exceptions to the appropriate team members.

• Purchase orders are entered accurately and completed on time.
• Procurement records remain organized, complete, and up to date.
• Supplier communications and follow-up activities are handled consistently and professionally.
• Open orders and procurement tasks are monitored proactively.
• Questions, exceptions, and potential issues are escalated appropriately.
• You steadily build knowledge of procurement systems, terminology, processes, and supplier relationships.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately enter, review, and organize information.
• Ability to follow established processes and complete assigned follow-up activities.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience supporting purchasing, order entry, accounts payable, customer service, inventory, or administrative functions.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Interest in learning purchasing systems, procurement processes, supplier management, pricing concepts, and commercial terms.
