Assistant Professor of Biology Location: Geneva, NY Employment type: Full‑time Category: Biology Salary: $69,360 – $73,605 per year Position Overview The College invites applications for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology in Cell Biology, specializing in eukaryotic systems. The appointment commences July1,2027 and the successful candidate will teach five courses over two semesters, with a strong emphasis on undergraduate education and the development of an active undergraduate‑focused research program. Teaching Responsibilities Genetics course with laboratory component Upper‑level Cell Biology course with laboratory component Additional contributions to the biology curriculum and general undergraduate curriculum as needed The five‑course load typically includes two lecture courses with labs and one lecture‑only course Research and Facilities The new faculty member will receive start‑up funds and will be provided office and laboratory space in the newly constructed Fish Center for the Sciences. The center includes modern teaching and research facilities such as cell culture and microscopy laboratories, a vivarium, and a greenhouse. The College also supports a robust summer science program that offers student‑research opportunities in faculty‑led projects.
