We are always looking for great people to join our team in this journey!About the Role:Even though we at BarclayHedge have been in continuous operation for more than 36 years, we are currently entering an exciting new "startup" phase. During this time, we will be rapidly refining existing products, developing new ones and looking to go to market aggressively. To aid us, we are looking to add a vital member to our team to help us grow our share of the market and ensure the success of our customers: A BarclayHedge Account Executive must be comfortable effectively working inbound leads, qualifying opportunities, giving product demonstrations, advancing sales cycles, closing new business and managing relationships with key clients.The Account Executive Role will report directly to BarclayHedge’s VP & Head of Research with sales coaching available via check-ins with senior sales managers at Backstop.Responsibilities:* Make outbound calls and emails to potential customers* Respond to prospect questions that come through a variety of channels* Perform effective on-line demonstrations for prospects* Build and manage pipeline from lead qualification to signed agreement* Hold deals to a consistent sales cycle and process* Achieve or exceed goal for qualified leads and closed business on a monthly basis to assist in growing the revenue and profitability of the company* Provide weekly activity report on MQLs, pipeline, and sales closed* Update lead status and all prospect interaction in Backstop CRM application* Proactively learn BarclayHedge products, competitor products, and industry trends.* Work closely with leadership top ensure efficient process, consistent improvement is encouraged.* Expected to liaise with management on matters of product, customers and marketing.Experience and SkillsIs adept at B2B inside sales.Is hungry for success and motivated by setting and meeting challenging goals.Has high emotional intelligence and demonstrates customer-empathy.Is financially literate and fluent.Is technologically literate and data savvy.Is cognitively flexible and has a learning mentality.Understands the importance of actively managing a pipeline and working the process.Is comfortable working within a small and tight-knit team.Will collect and frequently communicate useful intelligence on products, markets, competitors and customers to relevant internal stakeholders.Desirable Qualities and Experiences for this Individual and Role: Experience at inside sales for a technology or data product.Knowledge of/experience with the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model.Knowledge of alternative investments (particularly Hedge Funds and Managed Futures markets) is a plus.An understanding of the challenges and dynamics of the institutional investment community is beneficial as well.Job BenefitsComprehensive pay and benefits package including medical, dental, vision, term life & disabilityParental leave benefitsVacation and sick timeRetirement with company match (401(k) in the US and Pension in the UK)Professional organization membershipTeam building and quarterly company eventsWork with inquisitive, unique, and dedicated coworkersCasual work environment ( denim encouraged when not visiting clients)The chance to work for a growing service provider in the institutional financial industryWe are an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer that values diversity at all levels.
