Project ManagerSSOE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Industrial Facilities Design team. Locations available include Phoenix (AZ) and Austin (TX). This exciting role will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities for global industry leaders. From concept through startup, you will direct multidisciplinary architecture and engineering teams responsible for creating high-tech, mission-critical, and power-intensive facilities that drive innovation and economic growth.You will lead highly visible projects involving complex stakeholder coordination, sophisticated technical requirements, and fast-paced execution environments. From day one, you'll receive the training and support needed to leverage AI as a core tool for enhancing productivity, sparking creativity, and streamlining complex workflows.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Provide executive leadership for multidisciplinary project teams from planning through completion.Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and strategic stakeholders.Develop project execution plans, resource strategies, and delivery approaches.Align scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management objectives.Facilitate change management and commercial negotiations.Monitor financial performance, invoicing, forecasting, and cash flow.Manage contracts for consultants and external service providers.Drive communication, accountability, and collaboration among stakeholders.Mentor project managers and support project delivery excellence.Support business development, pursuits, presentations, qualifications, and fee proposals.Travel as necessary for client and project engagement.What Success Looks Like:Build trusted relationships with clients and technical leaders.Deliver predictable scope, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes.Lead major industrial facility projects through critical milestones.Contribute to repeat business opportunities and client satisfaction.Receive and provide mentoring developing group strengthsQualificationsQualifications You'll Need on Day One:Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture, or additional 4 (four) years of experience in the engineering or construction field in lieu of a technical degree. Registration preferred.8+ years of experience in the design industry preferred, with 5+ years as a Project Manager in an engineering or construction organization.Managing the design of major capital industrial projects within an engineering or architecture consulting firm is required.Experience in automotive plants projects is highly desired.Strong experience in industrial/manufacturing plants projects.Advanced working knowledge of contract management, pre-design, pre-construction, renovations, demolition, new construction, building systems/components, technology, and construction administration.Experience with various disciplines, trades, and systems related to complex industrial facilities, with an emphasis on full project delivery.Experience in the execution of multi-office projects with remote teams.Strong capabilities with building and maintaining client relationships.Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Experience in client-facing roles and business development.Ability to travel to project locations for short-term visits to client sites.Valid driver's license and passport for potential project-related international travel.Ideal Background:We welcome project leaders with experience delivering complex capital projects in industries such as Advanced Manufacturing, Industrial Manufacturing, Semiconductor, Data Centers, Battery & EV, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Energy & Utilities, Mission Critical Facilities, and Industrial EPC environments.The SSOE Difference:Unlike firms that rely heavily on external partners, SSOE's integrated architecture and engineering teams work under one roof.
