Physical Therapist - School Setting in Lewistown, PA

An exciting opportunity is available for a contract Physical Therapist (PT) to work with students during Extended School Year (ESY) services for the summer of 2026. This role covers two closely located school sites in Huntingdon County, PA, offering impactful interventions for a small caseload of students ranging in service frequency and duration.


Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Pennsylvania PT licensure meeting PDE (Pennsylvania Department of Education) requirements
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy settings preferred
• Ability to provide all services in-person (remote/virtual sessions are not an option)
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators and families
• Reliability and flexibility to accommodate a per diem, variable schedule

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized PT services as per outlined caseload: • 4 students from 6/23/26-7/16/26, with sessions structured per student (ranging from 1-2 times weekly for 30-45 minutes) • 1 student covered 6/22/26-8/3/26 (details to be determined)
• Accurately document services and progress in alignment with school requirements
• Conduct assessments, develop therapeutic goals, and modify interventions as necessary
• Communicate student progress and therapy recommendations to interdisciplinary teams and caregivers
• Travel between both designated school sites (in close proximity)
