Travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer - Sonography/Ultrasound

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a Breast Care Center, requiring RDMS (BR) certification and 1-2 years of breast ultrasound experience.

Job Details

• Work in a Breast Care Center performing exclusively breast ultrasound exams,
• Monday-Friday day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM,
• 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day,
• Uses Epic for charting and documentation,

Job Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in breast ultrasound preferred,
• RDMS (BR) certification from ARDMS required,
• BLS certification through AHA required,
• License required if applicable,
• High School Diploma or GED required,
• Epic charting experience required,
• Ability to lift, bend, carry supplies and equipment, and stand for extended periods,
• Ability to push and pull equipment such as gurneys and portable devices,
• Manual dexterity to operate delicate ultrasound equipment with precision,

Additional Information

• Perform ultrasound exams under physician direction to identify abnormalities for patient diagnosis,
• Verify patient identification and orders, and prepare patients for exams,
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy while completing studies within acceptable time limits,
• Provide patient education and ensure patient comfort throughout exams,
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques,
• Maintain accurate records of procedures performed and any adverse reactions,
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, and quality control programs,
• May assist and instruct students and other radiology techs in exam protocols and procedures,
• Returning employees must be separated from any facility within this health system for at least one year before eligibility for a new travel assignment
