About the Position

Job Title: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Operating Room Technology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience License: CST licensure (NBSTSA) Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: - High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent - Experience with vascular, transplant, ophthalmology, spine, robotic, and cardiac procedures is ideal Description: Assists in preparing for and during surgery. Performs routine and delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the department and hospital. Ensures quality patient care. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratio experience is 1:1. Experience with trauma level I and II is preferred. Day shifts require weekend coverage as part of the schedule rotation. On-call duties are required. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of surgical procedures and techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of sterilization and disinfection processes is essential. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with interdisciplinary support is necessary. Candidates should be prepared to engage in ongoing professional development and training as required. Strong communication and organizational skills are important for success in this role. The position includes responsibilities related to patient care, safety, and procedural integrity during surgeries.
