Hematologist/Oncologist

Assignment Details

• Location: Providence, Rhode Island

• Start Date: End of September 2026

• Duration: Ongoing

• Practice Setting: Acute Care Hospital

• Full-time coverage

Compensation: Hourly - $445/hr, Overtime - $600/hr, Holiday - $600/hr, 24-Hour Call - $3110 per 24 hours, Night Call - $370/hr, Call Back - $600/hr.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday

• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM

• Night Call: 5:00 PM–8:00 AM

• Weekend Call: 1–2 weekends per month (24-hour call, 7:00 AM–7:00 AM)

Clinical Details

• Outpatient clinic with daily inpatient consults

• Inpatient rounding: Approximately 1–2 hours daily based on consult volume

• Outpatient Volume: 18–22 patients per day

• Inpatient consult volume varies

• Procedures: Biopsies as needed

• EMR: Approximately 80% paper records and 20% Meditech

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology

• Active Rhode Island medical license or willingness to obtain

• Rhode Island CSR required

• DEA required

• Verification of board certification required at submission

• Rhode Island license verification required if already licensed

Credentialing

• Temporary privileges available for an earlier start date while full credentialing is completed
