Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Day Shifts | Every other weekend and major holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and evaluate treatment effectiveness for critically ill patients
• Manage mechanical ventilation, sedation, and titration of vasoactive drips and pressors for a high-acuity patient population including sepsis, CVA, ARDS, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, and mixed critical care diagnoses
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring and provide nursing care associated with life-supporting technology including CRRT, Impella, and cardiac surgery patients
• Administer medications safely and accurately, including conscious sedation, in accordance with applicable state practice standards and facility policies
• Serve as a point of contact for care coordination across hospital departments and for patients' families and caregivers
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and advocate for patient safety throughout the care continuum

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of practice or covered under a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency with mechanical ventilation and sedation management
• Experience titrating vasoactive drips and pressors required
• Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts required; must be able to read and verify rhythm strips
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; must pass EKG exam at orientation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience strongly preferred; neuro background a plus
• Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred
• CCRN, TNCC, TCRN, or other relevant advanced certifications preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and point-of-care testing devices (EPOC and iStat) preferred
