Job Title: Executive Director, Supervised Parenting Time Program (SPT) Employment/FLSA Status: Full Time/Exempt Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid) Reports To: President & CEO What You’ll Do As Executive Director of the Supervised Parenting Time (SPT) Program at Kids’ Voice of Indiana, you’ll oversee a structured, trauma‑informed program that supports safe, consistent parenting time for children and families navigating complex life transitions. You’ll lead a skilled team, uphold policies that reflect safety and neutrality, and create an environment where children can maintain important relationships while everyone involved is treated with dignity and respect. Your leadership will balance program structure with compassion, keeping families at the center of your work. Your Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership, vision, and strategic direction for all aspects of the Supervised Parenting Time Program. Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, contributing to agency-wide strategy and initiatives. Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives, policy development, and long‑term financial sustainability. Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and procedures aligned with Supervised Visitation Network standards. Participate in budget creation and ongoing monitoring to ensure program sustainability and fiscal responsibility. Conduct intake interviews with custodial and non‑custodial parents to explain program expectations. Oversee scheduling and logistics for parenting time visits. Lead, mentor, and develop team members to foster a high‑performing, collaborative environment. Lead and support staff hiring, onboarding, training, and operational processes for the SPT team. Review all observation reports prior to distribution; ensure confidentiality and neutrality. Track and report program data, outcomes, and trends to support evaluation and grant compliance. Respond to escalated family concerns or crisis situations with professionalism and care. Collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance family‑centered services. Represent the program at community meetings, partner gatherings, and public engagements as needed. Attend leadership, board, and all‑staff meetings, development training, staff retreats, and agency‑wide initiatives, as appropriate. Approve time records and PTO and, when necessary, ensure that meetings and key responsibilities are covered when team members are unavailable. Perform other duties as assigned. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social work, human services, psychology, criminal justice, nonprofit leadership). Minimum five years of experience managing or coordinating family‑ or child‑focused programs. Knowledge of supervised parenting services, child development, and family systems. Experience supervising staff or leading teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Skill in conflict resolution and maintaining professional neutrality. Cultural humility and understanding of family systems affected by trauma or conflict. Ability to pass state and national background checks and DCS screening. Valid Indiana driver’s license or state‑issued ID. Demonstrated integrity, leadership, and commitment to the mission of Kids’ Voice. What Makes You Stand Out Familiarity with Supervised Visitation Network (SVN) standards and best practices. Bilingual (especially English/Spanish). Experience with grant compliance or outcome‑based reporting. Comfort navigating complex family dynamics, including high‑conflict co‑parenting. Experience working in collaboration with courts or child welfare partners. A calm, steady leadership presence rooted in strength‑based values. Tech Know-How Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams). Ability to navigate digital systems, maintain accurate records, and support hybrid work operations. Physical Requirements This hybrid position operates in both professional office and remote settings and requires regular use of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and copiers. The role involves evening or weekend hours onsite. Physical requirements include frequent speaking, listening, walking, standing, reaching, and the ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 pounds. Occasional travel is required for board meetings, training, conferences, and special events. Your Direct Reports SPT Program Coordinator (Full‑Time) Visitation Shift Leaders and SPT Supervisors (Part‑Time) Core Competencies The Executive Director of the Supervised Parenting Time (SPT) Program must model strategic and equitable leadership, sound judgment, and cultural competence while driving results and fostering collaboration. This individual is expected to maintain a working knowledge of HR best practices and agency policies while consistently modeling integrity, accountability, and adherence to organizational standards in leadership and decision‑making.
