Safety & Security Officer

Help ensure a safe, welcoming and family-friendly environment. With the opening of our new Adventure Playscape and expanded outdoor experiences, Exploration Place is strengthening our daytime safety and security presence. Part-time with evening and weekend shifts available. We are seeking Safety & Security Officers who bring a friendly, approachable, guest-first mindset to help ensure a safe, welcoming and family-friendly environment. This role is highly visible and focused primarily on the adventure playscape, amphitheater and outdoor areas, while also supporting indoor exhibits and common spaces. Responsibilities include routine patrols, providing guest assistance, monitoring play areas, responding to incidents or concerns, assisting with lost-child reunification, completing daily logs and supporting end-of-day lock-up and the transition to overnight security. This is a customer-service-oriented safety role, not a law-enforcement position. Ideal candidates are observant, calm and confident communicators who can engage positively with families and de-escalate situations when needed. Prior security or safety-related experience is required. CPR/AED/First Aid certification is required (or obtained within 60 days). Weekend and holiday availability required. Background check required.
