About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Controller to join their purpose-driven team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the integrity of all financial reporting, leading the accounting function, and serving as a trusted financial voice to senior management and the Board of Directors. This hands-on leadership role requires a precise and proactive approach to financial management, with a focus on providing strategic financial insight and maintaining regulatory and audit readiness. The VP, Controller will also be instrumental in supporting treasury, investments, and ALM, and will lead the budget and forecast process. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with at least 8 years' of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience in a financial institution is essential, with a strong preference for those with a CPA designation and a background in NCUA regulations. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in general ledger governance, close ownership, and a successful history of building and developing high-performing accounting teams. Proficiency in financial reporting tools, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with executives and Board members are also required. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial institution technology platforms and a commitment to professional development in the industry.
