Production Associate - Weekends

This position is responsible for assisting with daily production while working with components in an organized manner within an assigned area as directed. The Production Associate accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.

Principal responsibilities include:

• Assisting with daily production to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
• Reviewing daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.
• Ensuring the safe operation of equipment.
• Recommending measures to improve production methods and quality of product.
• Reporting immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems, which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
• Maintaining full working knowledge of all processes.
• Ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
• Conducting oneself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
• Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast-paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
• Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform the position.
• Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
• Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

Education and experience:

• Required: Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a similar manufacturing setting.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk throughout the building and along the conveyor line. The employee is frequently required to reach over shoulder height with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

The employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and move wheeled carts up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The employee may be required to work with or near hazardous materials. The employee may be exposed to hot surfaces, hot components, hot air, electrical hazards, and sharp metal edges.
