What MatX is BuildingMatX's mission is to make the world's best AI models run as efficiently as allowed by physics, bringing the world years ahead in AI quality and availability.Your place hereWe're looking for a strategic Sourcing Manager to manage sourcing strategy for datacenter rack development, integration, contract manufacturing strategy, and key vendor partnerships across critical hardware modules. You will build and execute supplier strategies that align with our NPI to production schedule, manage rack-level integration partners, ensure top quality, and secure favorable commercial terms.In this role, you will partner closely with Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership to identify technical requirements, risk and opportunities, transition key component categories from early development to volume supply.What You'll Do Here:Develop and execute global strategic sourcing strategies for rack and key hardware component categoriesLead commercial negotiations, supplier selections, RFXs, and pricing agreements to ensure best cost, quality, and supply securityManage supplier relationship management (SRM) programs, conducting executive business reviews (EBRs) and supplier scorecardsPartner with Hardware Engineering to assess market capabilities, influence design for total cost of ownership, and mitigate single-source risksCollaborate with Legal and Contract Management to draft, finalize and execute to commercial and engineering contractsDrive total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction initiatives while supporting rapid hardware iteration schedulesWho You Are:7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, global supply management, or procurement within high-tech, rack manufacturing, or advanced hardware industriesProven track record of negotiating complex multi-million dollar contracts and securing favorable commercial terms with tier-1 suppliersStrong technical aptitude with the ability to converse effectively with hardware architects and domain engineering leadsDeep familiarity with supply chain dynamics, risk management, and vendor cost structure analysisExcellent negotiation, presentation, and strategic leadership capabilities.Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-growth environment requiring end-to-end category ownershipCompensationThe US base salary for this full-time position is determined based on a variety of factors including role, experience, location, job related skills, and relevant education and training.
