Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security‑related incidents, and support riders and staff with outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $29.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Thur 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Fri 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sun 01:00 PM – 09:00 PM. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout platforms, stations, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points and high‑traffic areas, observe visitor and employee activity, and report security‑related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations in accordance with post instructions. Support day‑to‑day operations by documenting incidents, preparing reports, and providing directions or assistance to the public while maintaining a professional presence. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card/license is preferred. Baton certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
