American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring an active OK or compact RN license and at least one year of ICU experience in a trauma setting. Details Hospital-based ICU unit setting Cares for a variety of patients with health conditions ranging from simple to complex 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Travel experience required Requirements Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC) Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred Strong knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures Good verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills Additional Information Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients and delivers competent nursing care Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments Assists physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments Obtains and monitors physiological data, observing and intervening as needed Administers medications and initiates, regulates, and monitors IV infusions and blood products Communicates care plans with patients and families throughout hospitalization and at discharge Informs patients and families of hospital procedures and makes appropriate care referrals Delegates tasks to support staff as needed Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered Travelers may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon, requiring a 6-month separation before reapplying Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates cannot be pushed once booked These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
