Insurance Compliance Officer

American Assurance Corporation is a growing automotive service contract (warranty) and GAP insurance provider based in Lakewood, Colorado. Since 2005, we have built a strong reputation with a 4.9 Google rating. We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Compliance Officer to join our team and ensure regulatory compliance across our contracts and documentation and support our administration team.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, in-person position (no remote work) reporting to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have insurance compliance experience and/or paralegal background.

Key Responsibilities

•          Review, revise, and administer customer contracts with a focus on accuracy and regulatory compliance.

•          Ensure all documentation meets insurance and compliance standards.

•          Support the administration department with contract processing, data entry, and record maintenance.

•          Handle correspondence (email and letter) with customers, dealers, and lienholders.

•          Manage incoming calls and provide professional customer/dealer support.

•          Perform office tasks including filing, scanning, spreadsheet updates, and light bookkeeping.

•          Assist with miscellaneous tasks and serve as backup for other support roles as needed.

Requirements

•          Insurance compliance experience and/or paralegal experience strongly preferred.

•          Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.

•          Comfortable learning new systems and software.

•          Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

•          Self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.

•          Professional communication skills (verbal and written) with a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

•          Ability to read and analyze data on policy forms and resolve issues efficiently.

•          Prior customer service experience is a plus.

•          Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

•          Ability to commute to or relocate to Lakewood, CO 80227 (required).

Schedule & Compensation

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Pay Range: $50,000 – $60,000 annually (depending on experience)

Available starting the first month after 60 days of employment:

•          Medical Insurance: 100% employer-paid for the employee on the base plan; 80% employer-paid for family coverage.
