Head of Marketing

DocDraft is hiring a Head of Marketing to lead the next phase of our growth.

We’ve built one of the fastest-growing companies in consumer legal technology, helping tens of thousands of consumers and small businesses navigate consequential legal problems. We believe there is an opportunity to build the defining brand in consumer and small-business legal services — and we’re looking for someone exceptional to own how we get there.

This is not a role where you’ll inherit a brand deck and manage a collection of agencies.

You’ll own marketing.

That means figuring out where we should spend the next dollar, what message we should put in front of a customer, how we make DocDraft a brand people recognize and trust, and how we turn an already meaningful acquisition engine into something much larger.

What you'll own

You’ll be responsible for the marketing function across DocDraft, including:

• Paid acquisition: Own and scale significant spend across Google, Meta, and emerging channels while maintaining disciplined unit economics.
• Creative: Develop a high-velocity system for testing new concepts, messaging, landing pages, ads, and formats.
• Brand: Build DocDraft into the trusted consumer brand for navigating legal problems.
• SEO & content: Continue expanding an organic acquisition engine that reaches people at the exact moment they have a legal need.
• Lifecycle: Improve how we engage, educate, retain, and monetize customers after acquisition.
• New channels: Constantly test where the next meaningful source of customers will come from rather than simply optimizing the channels we already have.

Most importantly, you’ll own the number.

We care about ideas, creative, brand, and experimentation — but ultimately marketing at DocDraft exists to efficiently acquire more customers and build a much larger business.

Who we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who has actually built and scaled things.

You may be at a high-growth consumer company today and ready to take full ownership of the function.

You should:

• Have significant experience scaling performance marketing , particularly Google and/or Meta.
• Be highly analytical and comfortable managing marketing against CAC, conversion rate, payback, LTV and ROAS.
• Understand that great performance marketing increasingly depends on great creative and great positioning , not just campaign optimization.
• Have strong instincts around consumer psychology and messaging.
• Be comfortable operating at both the strategic and extremely tactical levels.
• Move quickly. We test constantly, make decisions quickly, and expect the same from our leaders.
• Be intellectually curious about AI and how it is changing both marketing and the products consumers use.
• Have managed people, agencies, and meaningful marketing budgets.
• Want real ownership rather than a narrowly defined role.

Experience in legal tech is not required. In many ways, we would prefer someone who brings a world-class consumer marketing playbook from outside the industry.

Why DocDraft

Legal is one of the largest consumer markets that still does not have a dominant consumer brand.

Most people don't know where to turn when they have a landlord dispute, need to get divorced, are starting a business, have an estate-planning need, are dealing with a contract problem, or encounter one of the thousands of other legal issues people face every day.

We think that is going to change.

AI is dramatically expanding what software can do for consumers, while attorneys remain incredibly valuable for the parts of legal work that require judgment, advocacy, negotiation, and representation.

DocDraft sits directly in the middle of that transition.

We've already built the product, customer base, data, attorney network, acquisition engine, and brand foundation.
