On-Call IT Field Technician - Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington

On‑Call IT Field Technician We’re expanding our network of skilled on‑call technicians across multiple U.S. cities. This independent contractor role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to accept jobs based on your location and availability. About the Role You’ll be dispatched to customer sites, work independently, and provide on‑site support for PCs, Macs, printers, and scanners. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing hardware and software issues, configuring Wi‑Fi and wired connections, and maintaining multifunction printers. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair hardware/software issues on Windows and macOS systems Resolve boot errors, OS issues, and login problems Set up or troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and wired internet connections Replace or upgrade hardware (HDD, RAM, cooling fans, etc.) Configure or connect printers and scanners (Canon, HP, Brother, etc.) Address common printer error codes (e.g., ink absorber, paper feed, connectivity) Perform general maintenance on multifunction printers (MFPs) Reinstall operating systems using bootable USBs or recovery media Install remote tools or shortcuts as requested Communicate clearly with customers and provide basic post‑service support Document service visits and elevate complex issues as needed Requirements 2+ years of field IT support experience, including computer and printer work Familiarity with Canon, HP, and other common printer brands Knowledge of error code troubleshooting (e.g., Canon code 1700, boot issues, driver conflicts) Experience with both Windows (10/11) and macOS troubleshooting Must have personal tools (bootable USB, screwdriver set, etc.) Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license Smartphone with camera and data for documentation and communication Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor Benefits and Compensation $40–$45 per hour for on‑site time Flexible scheduling – accept only the jobs that match your route and availability National brand recognition and continuous job offers Dispatch and tech support team available to assist remotely What to Expect After You Apply Intro Call – A recruiter will contact you for a quick chat Onboarding – Complete paperwork and tax forms electronically Background Check – Mandatory before activation Set Your Availability – You enter your availability in our tech portal Start Receiving Jobs – You’ll be dispatched jobs based on proximity & skills If you’re a reliable, tech‑savvy field technician with hands‑on printer experience and a flexible schedule, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
