Project Manager II The Project Manager II leads the successful execution of projects from the RFP/RFQ process through to completion. The role collaborates with Site Superintendents, Architects, Engineers, Owners, and Subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities include overseeing daily onsite operations, managing project budgets, and providing regular progress reports to the Regional Operations Manager. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager coordinates subcontractors, organizes meetings, and maintains seamless communication across all project stakeholders. Essential Position Functions Develop a comprehensive schedule from project inception by closely reviewing plans and specifications for required activities. Work with the project team and subcontractors to accurately reflect durations and sequence or logic. Proactively manage project schedules with the team to ensure projects remain on or ahead of schedule. Ensure 2‑3 week look‑ahead schedules are completed by Site Superintendents and reviewed and distributed to the project team. Create monthly projections and forecasts of earned revenue by working with subcontractors and reporting forecast to ROM; regularly reflect accurate upcoming and projected costs required to successfully complete the project on time. Provide overall leadership and accountability for all close‑out activities associated with the project. Look ahead at potential risks and establish a plan to eliminate or reduce the potential risk for both budget and schedule. Promote safe working methods and provide safety measures as needed for on‑site personnel and subcontractors. Non‑Essential Position Functions Other duties as assigned. Education and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university or three to five plus years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. ESCO experience required. HVAC controls experience required. Lighting experience required. Commercial solar project management experience required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of Veregy’s services and processes, obtained through intellect, technical inclination, and dedication. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of various operating systems and software products (e.g., MS Office). Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Viewpoint, RS Means, Trimble Estimating, and/or other job‑related hardware and software applications. Ability to work independently and manage time and workload efficiently. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, business, professional, and technical documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and staff. Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to write presentations, articles, routine reports, proposals, and correspondence. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to prioritize tasks and negotiate priority with end users tactfully. Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed.
