Senior Manager, Supplier Material Verification This role leads, develops, and mentors the team responsible for the disposition and management of non‑conforming material across Raytheon and its third‑party logistics (3PL) partner. It serves as the primary quality leader overseeing the Material Verification Engineering team across the Tucson receiving inspection sites, as well as the local partner site. The senior manager will also ensure Supplier Statement of Work (SSOW) compliance and provide oversight of the timely and effective resolution of Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) through the team. Location and Security Clearance Onsite position based in Tucson, AZ. On‑site support required in Marana, AZ (the Marana site will become the primary work location following the planned material transfer). U.S. citizenship is required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. A DoD Secret clearance is required, active and existing after day 1. What You Will Do Manage the Raytheon Material Verification Engineering team. Manage disposition of nonconforming supplier material to accurately measure supplier performance by coordinating the activities of Raytheon Material Verification Engineers. Support and coach the development and growth of the team. Daily collaboration and communication with cross‑functional teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives (technical support, manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and program management office). Ensure compliance of company policies and procedures. Workforce planning and forecasting; employee hiring and training. Develop and implement corrective action plans to support inspection escapes. Issue, track, and approve Supplier Corrective Action Reports. Disposition of non‑conforming material, purges, and material in quality hold. Ensure full compliance of company policies, procedures, and partner SSOW. Assist in development and execution of training documentation. Identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) opportunities using Raytheon’s CI tool: CORE. Qualifications You Must Have University degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience. Relevant experience working in quality or a technical manufacturing environment. Previous experience managing a small team. Experience identifying root cause and implementing effective short‑term and long‑term corrective actions. Experience with commercial and/or aerospace/defense regulations and/or standards such as AS9100, AS9102, ISO‑9000, ISO‑9001, AS9145. Experience working in a cross‑functional team with representatives from Supply Chain, Operations, Program Quality, and Manufacturing. We Prefer Current government secret clearance. Experience working with SAP and / or PRISM (Raytheon Proprietary) to generate daily and weekly metrics. Strong management skills, including decision making with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating. Supervisory experience in the aerospace/defense industry. Knowledge of Supplier Quality and receiving inspection. Certification in Six Sigma, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ). Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.). Experience with cables and wiring harnesses, electro‑mechanical assemblies, machined components, and/or circuit card assemblies. GD&T knowledge, understanding, and practical application. Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes. Practical knowledge of First Article Inspection and AS9102 management. Knowledge of General Statistical Process Control. Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon), including experience in an international / global setting.
