About the Position

We are seeking a full‑time Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity providing weekday daytime anesthesia coverage in a high‑volume surgical environment. This role follows a supervision‑focused care model, with approximately 80% supervision and 20% hands‑on case involvement. The clinical case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, GI, robotics, OB, radiology, endoscopy, ophthalmology, plastics, ENT, and neuro procedures. There is no trauma coverage, and cardiac cases are managed by a dedicated cardiac team. Epic EMR is used for documentation, and providers are supported by a large anesthesia care team.

Shift Details:

• Day shifts Monday–Friday with 7:00 AM start times
• Schedule options include five 8‑hour shifts or five 10‑hour shifts
• Beeper call required
• Weeknight beeper call: one week per month (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Weekend beeper call: 24‑hour coverage one weekend per month
• Care team model includes anesthesiologists and a large CRNA team

Coverage Dates / Schedule:

• Must be able to start by June 1, 2026
• Full‑time availability required every week of the month
• Minimum commitment of four weeks per month
• Ongoing coverage need

Requirements

MD specializing in Anesthesiology
Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required)
Active Florida medical license required
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
Ability to provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
Clean background with no clinical, legal, or pending issues
No more than 10 prior professional affiliations
Florida resident candidates only
Must meet prior‑employment and geographic eligibility criteria per client policy
Willingness to participate in a clinical interview with site leadership
Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
