MRI Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing MRI scans and working with various imaging studies.

Responsibilities

Perform general MRI scans, including stroke and trauma imaging.
Maintain and operate MRI equipment, including GE 3T, GE 1.5T, and Siemens 1.5T scanners.
Start IVs as necessary for imaging procedures.
Efficiently manage an average of 10 scans/studies per day.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
Utilize EPIC and Fuji Synapse for electronic medical records and image storage.

Qualifications

Certification as a Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT MR) is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI technology is preferred.
Strong skills in patient interaction and comfort.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Schedule

This position involves a schedule of Thursday through Saturday, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Full orientation will be provided, and clinicians must be present for the entire week of orientation, including any remote learning modules.

Additional Information

The department has three MRI scanners/rooms.
This is an outpatient MRI environment.
Radiologists are available in-house.
Clinical staff must comply with the dress code, which requires black scrubs.
Department-specific orientation will be provided.
