Drywall Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Drywall Estimator to join our growing team in either the York or Myerstown, PA office. This individual will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and/or industrial drywall projects. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience and a deep understanding of drywall/metal framing/painting projects for commercial/industrial size facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for drywall, metal framing, and related scopes
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements
• Perform quantity takeoffs
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and internal teams
• Lead and manage the estimating department, including mentoring junior estimators
• Review project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure smooth project handoff
• Track bid results and maintain historical cost data for future estimates

Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a Drywall Estimator in commercial and/or industrial construction
• Proficiency with EDGE estimating software (preferred)
• Experience managing or leading an estimating team or department
• Strong knowledge of drywall systems, metal stud framing, and finishing
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience working for a specialty contractor or general contractor
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in large-scale commercial or industrial projects
• Established relationships with vendors and subcontractors in the region
• Experience with value engineering and cost-saving strategies
