Role Overview As a Cardiac Device Technician, you will support cardiology providers by performing implanted cardiac device interrogations, monitoring device performance, and assisting with patient education and care coordination. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate device monitoring, troubleshooting critical issues, and maintaining effective communication between patients, providers, and clinical teams. Key Responsibilities Perform implanted cardiac device interrogations and assist with adjustments under provider supervision Monitor and report on device function, including in‑clinic evaluations and remote transmissions Support LifeVest monitoring and reporting Troubleshoot and elevate critical device issues, ensuring timely resolution Assist with patient education on device function, home monitoring, and follow‑up care Support wound checks following device implantation procedures Serve as liaison between patients, providers, and clinical staff to coordinate care Manage device recalls, including patient outreach and coordination of follow‑up care Track devices nearing ERI and support scheduling for generator replacement procedures Maintain accurate device tracking systems, documentation, and databases Assist with scheduling, medical record management, and supply inventory Ensure equipment is properly maintained and elevate safety or functionality concerns Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education – Required High School Diploma or GED Experience – Required Cardiology Arrhythmia Certification and 3 years of healthcare experience OR Cardiology Arrhythmia Certification and completion of a technical program in cardiac devices/arrhythmia OR equivalent combination of education and experience Certifications – Required Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications – Preferred CRAT (Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician) RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) CCDS (Certified Cardiac Device Specialist) CEPS (Certified Electrophysiology Specialist) Technical Skills & Knowledge Understanding of cardiac arrhythmias, pacing, and defibrillation therapies Familiarity with implantable cardiac devices including pacemakers and defibrillators Experience with device interrogation systems and remote monitoring platforms Total Rewards & Benefits Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Match + Annual Contributions Tuition Reimbursement Annual Performance Appraisals & Team Bonus Program Career growth and development opportunities Community discounts & wellness resources Take the Next Step: Join Suncoast Cardiology – BayCare Medical Group and play a vital role in supporting advanced cardiac care through device monitoring and patient coordination.
