HVAC Mechanic

HVAC MechanicAn employee in this job performs routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration system components according to a prescribed set of instructions. Work involves responding to service calls, conducting assessments, and performing adjustments to equipment to resolve occupant comfort issues. Work is performed according to established guidelines and includes inspecting and replacing faulty or worn parts, such as compressors, condensers, expansion valves, float and service valves, thermostats, belts, fans, fuses, coils, filters, and drive assemblies; and testing equipment functionality upon completion. Work may also include assisting a higher-level trades person or supervisor with more complex maintenance, installations, or repairs. Work is performed independently and is checked upon completion for adherence to guidelines and quality and timeliness standards.Join Our Team at Millersville University!
