Occupational Therapist School Setting in Stamford, CT

Step into a fulfilling opportunity as an onsite Occupational Therapist supporting a close-knit student community in a small private school setting near Stamford, CT. This rewarding contract role begins ASAP and extends through the end of the school year, with confirmed summer session (ESY) and the possibility of renewal.


You'll provide dedicated care to a manageable caseload of 8-9 students, making a measurable impact in a school of just about 70 students. As an OTR/L, your expertise will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, all while working within a supportive, collaborative team environment.


Your Qualifications:

• Valid OTR/L license in Connecticut
• Experience in school-based settings highly desirable
• Background working as an OT or COTA in healthcare or home health a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to adapt therapy strategies to individual student needs
• Passion for supporting students with diverse abilities

Your Responsibilities:

• Deliver individual and small group occupational therapy to assigned students
• Assess, develop, and implement specialized treatment plans tailored to each child
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to ensure holistic support
• Document progress and maintain thorough records per school and regulatory guidelines
• Contribute to IEP development and participate in relevant meetings
