Systems Engineer - Implementation & Wireless Support

Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree with 4 years of experience in systems engineering and systems programming, or a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of equivalent experience in systems engineering and systems programming.
• We need strong knowledge of multiple networking technologies and protocols, including how they interact.
• We require solid technical expertise in routing, switching, and network provisioning.
• We expect hands-on experience with Cisco switching and routing, including NxOS and IOS.
• We value experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• We prefer candidates with 6+ years of experience supporting enterprise network systems and advanced troubleshooting ability.
• We require or strongly prefer relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP Routing and Switching, and certifications in Wireless, Cisco ACI, or Thousand Eyes.
• We value experience with packet aggregation tools such as Gigamon.
• We value experience with IPAM platforms such as Infoblox.
• We expect provisioning experience.

• We provide Level 2 technical support for data and voice network systems.
• We configure and install network hardware and software across wireless, routing/switching, Cisco ACI, SolarWinds, Cisco SD-WAN, and related infrastructure.
• We support cloud network implementation and operations.
• We apply expertise in BGP and other dynamic routing protocols.
• We implement, document, and plan regular device upgrades while maintaining SLA, security, operating system, and configuration standards.
• We monitor system-generated alerts, investigate issues, resolve or escalate them, and keep management informed.
• We collaborate with vendors, colleagues, and management to deliver services and lower costs.
• We manage network asset inventories and capacity planning.
• We assist with disaster recovery testing throughout the year.
• We drive operational excellence and continuously improve network performance.
• We monitor network components and take appropriate action when issues arise.
• We participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support.
• We may mentor less experienced team members.
• We help maintain procedures and documentation updates.
• We support monitoring, auditing, and operational efficiency activities.
