Material Planner (Industrial Solutions)

Position Material Planner (Industrial Solutions) Location: Hendersonville, NC (BorgWarner Arden facility, Western North Carolina, transitioning to new facility in Hendersonville, NC) About the Company BorgWarner is a global product leader in delivering innovative and sustainable mobility solutions, now expanding into the high‑growth data center market with advanced power generation systems for AI‑driven data centres and microgrid applications. Job Purpose To coordinate with production planning and customer service teams to optimise inventory and support plant operations, developing and executing supply plans, managing material shortages, and improving on‑time delivery for our new facility. Key Responsibilities Maintain a long‑term supply schedule/plan, considering needs forecasted by production planning. Resolve material shortages, backlogs, and other potential schedule interruptions. Develop and implement recovery plans if suppliers fall behind and meet with suppliers to ensure successful implementation. Use root cause analysis methods to develop workable solutions to support on‑time deliveries. Advise suppliers on proper shipping methods to meet delivery deadlines. Utilise SAP tools to execute supplier schedules and monitor delivery for 100% on‑time delivery. Daily interaction and communication with purchasing, supplier quality, production scheduling, and customer service. Track inventory of raw materials and optimise to avoid excess inventory levels. Create and develop reports to analyse the health of the supply base and develop strategies to continuously improve KPI's. Understand and adhere to current health, safety, and environmental policies and communicate safe work procedures. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent work experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures regarding planning and scheduling. Creativity, experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to perform a variety of complex tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Working knowledge of MR/ERP systems and planning tools. Strong verbal and concise written communication skills. Effective listening skills. Ability to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; SAP experience strongly preferred. Benefits Above-market pay rate. Day‑1 medical coverage with no monthly premium potential.
