Tax Accountant/Preparer (Hybrid)
We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant/Preparer to join our team. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for gathering client financial information, making appropriate bookkeeping entries, preparing business tax returns, and preparing individual tax returns. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations and excellent analytical and communication skills. Remote 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Gather and review client financial information, including income statements, balance sheets, and other relevant documents
- Make appropriate bookkeeping entries to ensure accurate and complete financial records
- Prepare business tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and LLC returns
- Prepare individual tax returns, including Form 1040 and related schedules
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions
- Stay current with tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Provide tax planning and advice to clients as needed
- Maintain client confidentiality and ensure data security
