Detailer/Porter Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Detailer/Porter to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Interior/exterior detailing of customer vehicles;
- There will be additional duties as assigned from time to time;
- WOW every customer through all phases of the process;
- Ability to complete tasks on your own as well with a team;
- No retail experience is necessary;
- Good work ethic and positive attitude are a must;
- Valid driver’s license;
- Directly report any damage to the supervising manager in a clear and timely fashion;
- Self-starter with ability to work well as part of a team or independently;
- Understand and deliver on specific customer requirements;
- Maintain proper function of all service tools and equipment;
- Clean, wax, polish, refurbish and detail vehicles that were collision damaged, as well as old and new vehicles;
- Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality service;
- Keeps new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the general manager and in accordance with dealership display standards;
- Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic presence in a team environment;
- Professional appearance and strong work ethic;
- Ability to multitask;
- Able to drive a manual transmission preferred, but not required;
- 1-3+ years automotive experience (work, school);
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record;
- Ability to keep up and succeed in a fast paced working environment;
- Some ICAR training (preferable);
- Automotive interest and desire to develop a career in the industry;
- Valid Driver’s License with Clean Driving record;
- Self-starter with ability to work well as part of a team or independently;
- General physical skills (carrying, lifting – 100 lbs, standing, sitting, walking, reaching);
- Driving, must have a valid license;
- Positive attitude and can-do mentality.
