Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Staff Accountant – Fixed Assets to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet prep for all fixed assets;
- Prepare month end journal entries;
- Project work include tracking capital expenditures;
- Entering new assets, transferring and deleting old assets, monitoring inventory.
Requirements:
- Experience with Fixed Assets highly preferred;
- Large ERP experience required: Oracle or SAP preferred;
- Minimum 2 years of corporate staff accounting/general ledger experience must have experience with journal entries and reconciliations;
- Bachelor’s degree required; accounting highly preferred;
- Excel experience required; pivot table and v-lookups required;
- Deadline driven including the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and complex environment;
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting;
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
- 2+ years of accounting experience with a concentration in GL through month-end close and fixed assets;
- Strong understanding of fixed assets and indirect taxes;
- Proven analytical ability, problem solving and research skills, and ability to provide meaning analysis and financial reports;
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task;
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and continuous improvement focus;
- Strong knowledge of GAAP;
- Computer savvy with advanced ability with Microsoft Excel and strong experience with accounting systems and ERPs, with SAP preferred.
