Our company is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement automation to perform the day to day operations functions of the cloud platform;
  • Using your extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed;
  • Make modifications to existing applications and modules in accordance with specification;
  • Strategically build and lead the cloud strategy efforts both privately and publicly;
  • Collaborate directly with the team, stakeholders, and clients in the design, integration, and implementation of cloud-based solutions;
  • Provision AWS infrastructure;
  • define roles/access control;
  • iPost findings and remediation;
  • Participate in project/work planning sessions to analyze requirements;
  • Enclaving/Network segregation;
  • Practice sustainable incident response and after action reviews;
  • Develop and implement a role-based access control strategy integrated with on-premises Active Directory services;
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel;
  • Approach work with a DevOps and continuous improvement mindset;
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on Cloud Engineer – 3-7+ years;
  • Experience developing distributed and cross-platform microservices architectures using Docker containers;
  • Cloud;
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience;
  • Actively participates in global calls and meetings via phone or in-person;
  • Understanding of Cloud deployment applications like Cloud Formation;
  • Ability to code within AWS environments;
  • Promote the values of a diverse work force;
  • Team player & ability to work proactively, provide mentorship & directions to the team & take technical decisions with minimal supervision;
  • For the right person this role could be virtual and located anywhere in North America;
  • NOAA Experience;
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, and distributed networks;
  • Must have active Secret government security clearance with preference for Top Secret, verifiable in JPAS;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
