Compliance Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding of health insurance and different medical plans;
- Complete other functions as needed;
- Perform compliance reviews for all Platforms focused on the following areas;
- Processing and communication to our bank partner in response to letters of indemnity;
- Enhanced due diligence for end users, “know your customer” reviews;
- UAR (unusual activity reports) review and reporting to bank partners;
- Help craft detailed written requirements for program elements and reports to be conveyed to programmers and technology staff;
- Responsible for monitoring ACH Activity: transactions, returns and trend analysis – strong understanding of Reg E is preferred;
- Assist with independent third party audits (BSA, ACH, SOC, PCI), including;
- Reviews of queued transactions, for manual decisioning (cancel, return, settle);
- Other duties as assigned;
- Respond to regulatory requests;
- Perform regular information privacy risk assessments and audits. Assist in responding to regulatory inquiries, reviews, and audits;
- May respond to inquiries and/or provide assistance and/or guidance to lower level workers;
- Participate in any and all reasonable work activities as may be deemed suitable and assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Data entry experience;
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications;
- An in-depth understanding of financial services, AML concepts and issues, in particular AML regulatory standards;
- Strong investigative, processing and analytical skills;
- Prior experience with reporting for OATS, ACT, and CAT is a plus;
- 3-5 years experience with the SEC, FINRA, an exchange, and/or a broker-dealer preferred;
- Knowledge of programming and/or query languages is a plus;
- Experience with assessing requirements, developing and implementing compliance solutions;
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Windows;
- Experience preparing regular reports (daily, monthly, yearly) for a department or organization;
- Requires prolonged sitting;
- Demonstrated proficiency with Linux;
- Monitor and research licensing requirements;
- Knack for analyzing data ensuring a better understanding of the big picture (I.e. what is and what is not working for our customers);
- Collecting and analyzing complex data, evaluating information and drawing logical conclusions.
