Our company is looking for a Infrastructure Support Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge management – Writing technical documentation for team training;
  • Site Reliability Engineering – utilizing advanced notification and automation;
  • Disaster Recovery planning, testing, and failover implementation;
  • Supporting administrative functions required to deliver infrastructure inclusive of planning, tracking, ordering and reporting;
  • Service Request fulfillment to support internal groups;
  • On Call Production Support, trouble shooting, Incident and Problem management;
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced team members and upskill them on requirement;
  • Infrastructure migration planning and support, including implementation and validation;
  • Focusing on projects or programs that require technical and/or soft skills to drive delivery;
  • Managing customer escalations within or outside of service tower;
  • Infrastructure Configuration management;
  • Advocating for customer base when faced with infrastructure or business critical issues;
  • Acting as primary customer interface for day to day issues and queries;
  • Adhering organizational functional goals, priorities and service objectives aligning with the overall GTI strategy.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience with NetBackup v6.x, 7.x and 8.x;
  • 8+ years overall experience;
  • Domain Expert of the Infrastructure supported and interdependencies;
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components and how they are tracked and managed in various systems;
  • Experience with Backup Refresh, NetBackup catalog merge/migration in NetBackup;
  • Experience with backup migration projects as part of Hardware refresh.
