QC Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a QC Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- To perform chemistry testing with minimal supervision and order QC approved materials required to carry out all test procedures;
- Assist in the maintenance of records for standards and controls, as well as data entry and test authorisations using LIMS where requested;
- Prepare and maintain standards and controls for QC and Production Departments;
- Assist with the release of critical results required for production during business hours and after hours;
- Maintain, configure and calibrate complex technical equipment in accordance with approved procedures;
- Assist with the evaluation of new test procedures;
- Assist in the interpretation of data from assays conducted with complex technical equipment in the laboratory;
- Actively participate in the laboratory operations and follow-up investigations of all OOS results;
- Perform visual inspections on the overall condition of incoming raw materials, agency lines and printed materials;
- Ensure that all completed records are to be filed and archived in accordance to approved procedures.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory environment with at least one year in a QC environment;
- Flexible: able to respond quickly to shifting priorities and meet deadlines;
- Must have excellent record keeping, written and verbal skills;
- Proficient in Word and Excel;
- Requires a basic knowledge of and application of principles, theories and practices of the chemist profession;
- Instrumentation experience in HPLC, UPLC;
- Ability to perform most tasks with minimal supervision;
- ELISA experience;
- Some experience in quality control practices, current Good Manufacturing Practices or Good Laboratory Practices;
- Self-starter, strong work ethic, organizational skills, communication skills, and critical thinking are required by this position;
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required;
- Proficient and efficient in execution of molecular biology assays with minimal guidance after training;
- Understanding of GxP guidelines;
- Ability to work independently in a team environment is required;
- Experience with DNA or RNA sample preparation, sequencing, qPCR, robotics and/or our technology is a plus.
