QC Lab Tech Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a QC Lab Tech to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Support operational excellence principles to bring about continuous improvement;
- Understand and comply with current GMP regulations and quality systems. Promotes a quality mindset in every action, every day;
- Responsible for application of Bio safety and environmental guidelines;
- The following HPB’s are key behavioral characteristics for this job role: Customer Driven, Continuous Improvement and Flexibility;
- Accountable for supporting QC and site operations. Communicate a positive, professional attitude;
- Support external departments as needed: including, but not limited to Failure Investigations, OOS’s, and Process Improvement;
- Attendance and contribution at meetings locally and cross functionally;
- Assist Quality in any special projects and support other sub-departments within Quality as needed;
- Transfer samples to Lab for any additional required testing;
- Status change of packaging components performed as required to supply Production;
- Expand chemistry and plant knowledge independently;
- Daily pick up of retain samples of Finished Goods and maintain data entry into Quality data base;
- Comply with all local and corporate policies and procedures;
- Communicate as needed with suppliers for C of Cs, C of As, any supplier issues, and ensure specs are current;
- Maintain cleanliness of laboratory.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Scientific discipline preferred or HS with industry experience;
- Effectively communicates results of work to supervisor and others;
- Follows written procedures and maintains accurate records;
- Must have a good attention to detail and be highly organized;
- Manage time well to complete assigned tasks and meet work schedules;
- Completed college courses in organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology highly desirable;
- BS or BA degree in Chemistry/Biology or equivalent work experience preferred.
