Senior Cloud Operations Engineer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Testing Migration scenarios against POC environments;
- Execution of the application migration plan and activities;
- Learn other technologies as necessary to develop/support other application platforms as necessary;
- Forecast impact and plan capacity for both organic growth and new business to the environment;
- Responsible for building the cloud environments;
- Evaluate and recommend third party products to address current requirements;
- Lead the technical architecture and technical details of the platform;
- Maintains operational, configuration, or other procedures;
- Operational support for cloud environment;
- Expand knowledge of programming techniques and databases;
- Automation of environment creation with Terraform;
- Proactively monitor environment utilizing best practices;
- Perform Unix/Windows server and application instance management;
- Work to continually to develop and improve processes, methodologies and approaches;
- Puppet/Chef development and support along with other automation tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.
Requirements:
- Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient;
- Must be able to travel as position requires;
- May be required to lift 25-50 lbs;
- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person .
