Our company is looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • This role is located in Chesterfield, MO. Relocation assistance may be offered for this role;
  • Develop, implement and maintain Cloud security guidelines, standards and best practices within the Cloud architecture within Global Breeding;
  • Collaborate with product development, architecture, and IT teams on evaluation and implementation of new services based on the requirements;
  • Monitor environments for security vulnerabilities and independently take action to remediate and/or mitigate risks;
  • Deploy and support framework and tools for Multi-Cloud Platform;
  • Promote Cloud usage best practices across multiple organizations;
  • Able to work in both Linux- and Windows- based environments and associated code frameworks;
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a secure and scalable cloud (AWS) infrastructure platform;
  • Manage account administration on complex Multi-Cloud platform;
  • Participate in an on-call rotations to provide coverage during off business hours;
  • Lead development teams and guides development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of highly secured cloud infrastructure;
  • You’ll provide timely and appropriate communication to business owners, stakeholders, and users on issue status and resolution;
  • You will troubleshoot production issues, engage appropriate parties, and drive through to resolution;
  • You’ll get to collaborate with teams across the company to improve the overall operational maturity of Cloud and on-premise solutions;
  • You will have the opportunity to continually improve operational processes and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Ability to design and implement robust and maintainable utilities;
  • Scripting/automation development skills;
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative, iterative development, high quality, and robust systems;
  • Experience managing operational monitoring, metrics, and logging systems;
  • Experience designing, implementing and operating build & release automation and continuous integration and deployment;
  • Demonstrated history of seeking out and bringing in new ideas;
  • Unix system administration skills preferably in a container focused environment;
  • Experience operating, automating and scaling cloud-based Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure platforms;
  • Remains calm and effective in the face of unexpected change.
