Our company is looking for a Utility Pipe Layer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have reliable transportation and arrive on jobsite at required time;
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required;
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test;
  • Ability to work in trenches or confined spaces;
  • Work in varying weather conditions and work environments;
  • Keep company vehicle, tools, and equipment clean;
  • Inform management of safety concerns.

Requirements:

  • Ability to install various types of pipe in trench including but not limited to ductile iron pipe, PVC, and RCP;
  • Ability to install and grout storm drain and sewer structures;
  • Ensure pipe is installed properly prior to backfilling;
  • Reliable transportation;
  • Ability to install Megalugs or bell restraints;
  • Knowledge of Utility systems, specifically Storm water underground piping;
  • Assist lead man in tie-ins to storm, water and sewer;
  • Good work ethic and dependability;
  • Experience with general construction labor and trenching for underground utility systems;
  • Ability to set lids to grade on storm drain and sewer structures;
  • Basic math skills;
  • Ability to accurately read grades;
  • Experience working with Reinforced Concrete piping. (2+ years);
  • Accurately grade the bottom of the trench for pipe placement;
  • Equipment operating skills is a plus.
