Our company is looking for a Irrigation Technician to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain daily activity record of jobs and expenses;
  • Basic Math and Geometry skills;
  • Able to lift 50 lbs;
  • Good communication skills when interfacing with clients and our staff;
  • High School Diploma or GED;
  • Hard working, teachable, and honest individual who enjoys working outside in a physically demanding environment in various temperatures and conditions;
  • Able to use electronic devices for completing jobs, documenting notes, collecting payment, and communicating with clients;
  • Inspects, audits, adjusts, and repairs irrigation systems already in place;
  • Maintains inventory of irrigation parts and supplies;
  • Ensures irrigation systems are performing at maximum efficiency;
  • Reads diagrams to layout and locate irrigation valves, timers, and wiring;
  • Completes daily paperwork as required by each job;
  • Performs system start-ups, evaluation, and winterization;
  • Conducts preventative maintenance on designated systems;
  • Assesses water efficiency and adjusts in order to conserve water.

Requirements:

  • Able to use electronic devices for completing jobs, documenting notes, collecting payment, and communicating with clients;
  • Basic Math and Geometry skills;
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs;
  • Looking for an individual with the “Correct Attitude”, we can teach you the rest;
  • Knowledge of the proper care and maintenance of tools of the trade;
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions;
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions;
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, regulations, policies and procedures;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Understanding of complex irrigation systems;
  • Pumps, boosters and wells;
  • Solve practical problems and unexpected changes in a timely manner;
  • 2 wire systems;
  • Strong irrigation trouble shooting skills;
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the job.
