Our company is looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • To understand and follow individual’s rights;
  • Grooming;
  • To assist individual with self-administration of prescribed medications;
  • Assist with bathing, showers, etc;
  • Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs;
  • Provide support for individuals with various developmental disabilities in the home and within the community;
  • Guide where needed to develop independent behaviors, and skills through their environment. Wither at home or programs they attend;
  • Is a team player by assisting where ever needed, after your assigned duties arecompleted;
  • help individuals in the community increase independence and integration;
  • assist individuals in a classroom setting to achieve goals through community activities as well as site based settings;
  • Completes home safety checklists as directed by supervisor;
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check;
  • Provide routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation;
  • Documents implementation of recommended programs, outcomes, progress and concerns;
  • Observe and report any changes in client’s condition.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license;
  • High school diploma or GED certificate;
  • CPR and first aid training;
  • To assist individual with self-administration of prescribed medications;
  • Complete pre-employment requirements including in-house training and orientation;
  • To understand and follow individual’s rights;
  • One to two years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities;
  • Ability to drive company vehicles;
  • 18 Years or older;
  • Passion for helping others;
  • Must be 18 years of age;
  • Reliability, responsible attitude;
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check;
  • Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized;
  • At least six months of experience providing support to persons with developmental disabilities in a comparable program (Behavior Modification Program).
