Our company is looking for a Emergency Veterinarian to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains client/patient medical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols;
  • Builds rapport with clients by gathering information, listening, and empathizing with their concerns;
  • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine;
  • Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public;
  • Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service;
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis.

Requirements:

  • Shifts vary – some weekends & holidays required;
  • Makes decisions confidently and effectively;
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university;
  • Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients;
  • License in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed;
  • Works collaboratively with hospital team members;
  • Manages time and tasks appropriately;
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics;
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth;
  • At least 1 year of emergency experience.
