Our company is looking for a Emergency Veterinarian to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains client/patient medical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up to date through established protocols;
- Builds rapport with clients by gathering information, listening, and empathizing with their concerns;
- Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine;
- Presents a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public;
- Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service;
- Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis.
Requirements:
- Shifts vary – some weekends & holidays required;
- Makes decisions confidently and effectively;
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university;
- Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients;
- License in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed;
- Works collaboratively with hospital team members;
- Manages time and tasks appropriately;
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics;
- Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth;
- At least 1 year of emergency experience.
