Responsibilities:

  • Anesthetic monitoring;
  • Monitoring all changes in patients and giving them all the compassionate care they deserve;

  • Knowledge and ability to recognize medical emergencies and illnesses;

  • Basic husbandry and nursing care;
  • Disinfecting and sanitizing hospital and equipment routinely;

  • Must be licensed or eligible for license;
  • A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology – new grads are welcome And either a current license or scheduled test date;
  • Have an outgoing, positive attitude;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Completion of a 2-year AVMA accredited veterinary technician program;
  • License to practice as a veterinary technician in the state of Virginia;
  • 6 months experience preferred, but not required.
