Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Physical Therapist – Outpatient Orthopedics to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff;
- Develops treatment plans, supervises assistants and aides, contributes to case management, and provides quality patient care;
- Document patient treatment in the electronic documentation and billing system;
- Communicate, in a timely manner, with physicians as appropriate to discuss progress and update the plan of care for the patient;
- Develop a plan of care for each physical therapy patient;
- Perform patient evaluation including all pertinent tests and measures;
- Provide skilled physical therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders;
- Review patient records for current diagnosis, past medical history, precautions, and contraindications.
Requirements:
- Valid State Physical Therapy License/ Registration REQUIRED to start;
- Must be a graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) accredited school of physical therapy;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Graduate from an accredited school;
- Current CPR Certification;
- Current licensure in state of New York as a Physical Therapist.
