Our company is looking for a Psychiatrist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Documents treatment on the appropriate form and places in the health record when patient consents to psychotropic medication;
  • Maintains open, collaborative and collegial relationships with other team members;
  • Provides medical, psychiatric, and medical-legal service and consultation to patients;
  • Provide regularly scheduled psychiatric patient care. Evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with behavioral health disorders;
  • Coordinates care with other medical specialists and institutions and communicates with family members and other agencies involved as needed;
  • Monitors prescribed psychotropic medications to assess treatment effectiveness and medication side effects;
  • Provides collaborative leadership in diagnosis, case formulation, treatment planning, and risk management;
  • Timely completion of clinical documentation;
  • Providing patient and family health education with a focus on self-management, prevention, and wellness based on the patient’s goals;

Requirements:

  • Two years freedom from chemical use problems;
  • Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry;
  • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations;
  • Between 21 and 42 years of age;
  • Completion of a training program in psychiatry;
  • Must maintain current BLS certification;
  • Proven ability to make sound and quick triage, treatment, and disposition decisions;
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time experience within the last 3 years as a Psychiatrist;
  • Current, valid, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Psychiatry;
  • Board eligible or board-certified in either adult and/or child psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology;
  • Good knowledge of current psychiatric treatments and trends;
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives;
  • FT available from 25 – 36 hours per week & PT from 8 hours +
  • Actively support program goals and system improvements/changes.
