Our company is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction designed by the SLP for the purpose of implementing goals for the remediation of speech and language deficits;
  • Prepare various teaching materials such as charts, pictures, word lists, and other related items;
  • Collecting data on student achievement in the speech/language areas for the purpose of documenting growth, progress towards IEP goals and reporting;
  • Assisting in facilitating communication between SLPs, site staff, parents (as requested) regarding student performance, progress and goals;
  • Collaborate with members of IEP Team, Special Education team and School site teams;
  • Covering multiple elementary schools with “traditional” speech;
  • Gathering more details.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of AAC and/or visual structure is highly preferred;
  • Must have proven organizational capabilities;
  • Must have appropriate SLPA California License;
  • Must be able to understand the principles and techniques of language, speech and hearing services with emphasis on Moderate to Severe DD populations;
  • Bachelor’s degree;
  • Must be able to work in a fast and dynamic environment;
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment;
  • At least 1 year experience with autism and other developmental disabilities preferred;
  • SLPA.
